Born in 1987 in Massachusetts, Alex discovered composing, MIDI, and guitar all at once at 13. His initial determination to use this combination to become a rock star quickly gave way to an earnest appreciation for composition, and quickly led him back to the John Williams and Alan Silvestri soundtracks that had thoroughly impressed him as a kid. He went on to study composition at American University in Washington DC, where he spent unhealthy amounts of extracurricular time using sample libraries to recreate famous classical pieces in an attempt to improve his mockup technique. After graduating in 2009 and eventually accumulating enough steady music work to leave his day job, Alex moved to Los Angeles in 2012.
